Playr League changing
With 16 Playrs ready for the July Final, the International Playr League will undergo some changes now that the summer vacation is over for most people. It's obvious that the current concept with weekly tournaments is not the perfect way for the League. Instead we'll take the next few weeks to construct a new structure - including qualification tournaments in other games such as Omaha, Razz, Limit games and H.O.R.S.E. We hope these new initiatives will help bringing the IPL back up to previous popularity.
The July Final will be held on Sunday, August 10th and more info on that will follow.

Nine players can look forward to the four most intense and probably profitable months of their lives. The nine of them early Tuesday morning qualified for the WSOP Main Event 2008 final table - to be played in November. By then they'll probably each have signed multiple endorsement deals, participated in a heap of reality shows and in general shoveled in money on activities left and right. A few hours into Day3 at the WSOP Main Event on Thursday, Gus Hansen looked like he was tilting straight for the rail. An early double-up had put him way above average, but then two big lay-downs within half an hour saw him crash to the brink of extinction. Down to 59.000 with blinds of 1.000/2.000 and the average at more than 150.000, however, Gus pulled out a solid comeback and grinded his way back in the biggest poker tournament on Earth. At the end of the day, Gus bagged 355.000 - well above average.
